Our flagship Thoroughbred Breeding Management Programme is designed to provide
students with a comprehensive, hands-on education in every facet of the thoroughbred
breeding industry. From breeding and foaling this immersive programme combines practical
experience with expert led learning.
Beyond the classroom, students benefit from exclusive networking opportunities, building
lifelong connections with leading industry professionals and unlocking a wealth of global
career pathways. Graduates of the Irish National Stud are in high demand worldwide. Our
alumni can be found in top roles across stud farms, racehorse training operations, sales
agencies, and media. Many of the most prestigious breeding operations around the globe are
owned or managed by INS graduates, who proudly carry forward our legacy of excellence and
mentorship.
The Class of 2025 welcomed 24 students representing eight countries, reflecting the truly
international appeal of the Irish National Stud’s Thoroughbred Breeding Management
Programme. With an exceptionally busy breeding season at Tully, students gained invaluable
hands-on experience, significantly enhancing their practical capabilities and deepening their
academic understanding of the industry.
