Equine Pasture Management Workshop
In June 2025, the Irish National Stud hosted the Equine Pasture Management Workshop in
collaboration with the ITBA, the Irish Equine Centre, and Teagasc. The workshop covered key
topics including efficient farming practices, soil and pasture management, pasture hygiene,
and enhancing biodiversity on equine farms.
ECHO workshop
In a major advancement for equine welfare in Ireland, a new collaborative workshop, one
equine health and welfare was delivered by the newly formed Equine Collaboration for
Health and Outreach (ECHO) at the Irish National Stud.
ECHO brings together a powerful network of veterinary professionals, educators, and
researchers from leading institutions, including the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural
Enterprise (CAFRE) in Enniskillen, the Irish Equine Centre, Teagasc, the University of
Limerick, University College Dublin’s School of Veterinary Medicine.
